Latrobe, Pa. and Dole Fresh Fruit host the world’s largest banana gathering and banana split bar on Aug. 25, National Banana Split Day. Thousands are expected at today’s free party at Latrobe’s St. Vincent College which caps a three-day celebration honoring the designation of Latrobe by Pa. as the official birthplace of the dessert. |
