TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On Saturday, September 7th, 2013 in Ottawa, the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association (CVFSA) and Duracell will be honouring firefighters from coast to coast during the CVFSA’s annual general conference.
Over 120 firefighters will attend this year’s conference, where they will pay tribute to fallen firefighters and award one recipient with the CVFSA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Whether they have taken part in relief efforts in Slave Lake, the Alberta floods or local emergencies, these heroes have put their lives on the line to protect others. To acknowledge their courageous efforts, Duracell will donate one million batteries to first responders across North America, as a part of their Duracell Quantum program.
As a long-time supporter of first responders, Duracell recognizes that the heroes who protect our families and communities need batteries to power their critical devices. This donation ensures that they are equipped with Duracell Quantum's unbeatable longevity.
