Barnes Noble Opening New Store in Princeton, New Jersey

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the leading retailer of content, digital media and educational products, today announced the debut of a new bookstore on September 18 at the MarketFair Mall, 3535 US Route 1, in Princeton, NJ. Concurrently, the existing MarketFair store will close. The location will include a vast sales floor of more than 60,000 books, newsstand titles, gifts and DVDs, a NOOK Boutique showcasing the company’s family of award-winning NOOK® Readers and Tablets, an Educational Toys & Games Department, and a Café featuring Starbucks® coffee. The Princeton Barnes & Noble will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday through Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.The store will serve the greater Princeton, NJ, market and employ approximately 70 people from the community.

As part of the Grand Opening celebration, the new Princeton Barnes & Noble is hosting a free Friends and Family Preview Night on Tuesday, September 17, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The proceeds from Preview Night will go to Corner House, an organization dedicated to promoting the well-being of young people in the Princeton area. The event will feature a “Pay it Forward” theme in honor of the Corner House policy to let young people in need pay for its services by giving back to the community. In addition to special guest Clifford the Big RedDog, the event will feature an a capella performance by Corner House’s own group, Around 8, and a choral performance by a group from West Windsor-Plainsboro, Out of the Blue.
