NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On Saturday, Sept. 21, a refurbished Bouton Street Park Playground will open, marking the culmination of a unique collaborative project led by the Norwalk Corporate Citizenship Alliance (NCCA), a committee of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, and the Norwalk Department of Recreation and Parks, with support from community partner Northeast Community Church.
Funding and volunteers to build the playground were provided by major corporate partners Pepperidge Farm and Beiersdorf Inc., as well as GE Capital, AT&T, FactSet Research Systems, The Hour, Tauck, The Norwalk Children’s Foundation and Mutual Security Credit Union.
The project used the community build model, which empowers the local community to participate in the design and installation.
