LEXINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fazoli's, the premium Italian quick-service restaurant ranked #2 overall among large national fast-food chains in the prestigious Zagat Survey, launches its second annual breast cancer awareness fundraiser on September 30, 2013. At the same time, it begins a five entrée limited-time offer dubbed the Fab Five.

“Since the disease affects the entire family – not just a person – it is fitting that our family-oriented restaurants help in its prevention.”

During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, each sale of Pink Lemon Ice for $1.99 will generate a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The organization's mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need. Fazoli's hopes to raise more than $15,000 for the foundation.

"Breast cancer awareness is an important cause to Fazoli's guests, the majority of whom are women," said Cathy Hull, Fazoli's chief marketing officer. "Since the disease affects the entire family – not just a person – it is fitting that our family-oriented restaurants help in its prevention."

Pink Lemon Ice is available at participating Fazoli's locations until November 3 or while supplies last.

Also beginning September 30 is Fazoli's Fab Five, a collection of hearty and robust Italian dishes that stay true to their culinary inspirations.

All you need to pack is a fork during Fazoli's Fab Five Italian countryside journey. Limited-time pasta dishes and listed prices are available at participating locations through December 1, 2013.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Fazoli’s operates or franchises approximately 220 restaurants.
