

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, will host a special Policy Day as part of its upcoming conference, TIA 2013: The Future of the Network, held in Washington, D.C. October 7-10. The TIA Policy Day, which takes place Wednesday, October 9, will feature remarks from FCC Acting Chairwoman Mignon Clyburn, influential members of Congress and executives from leading information and communications technology (ICT) companies.
Throughout the Policy Day on October 9, TIA will gather influential policymakers and regulators who are playing an important role in charting the network’s future for intensive discussion of spectrum availability, cybersecurity, IP transition and other critical tech and telecom issues. Policy Day will include keynote speeches, interviews, interactive roundtable discussions, and more.
The TIA 2013 Policy Day will feature remarks from 20 policymakers, regulators and executives, including:

The TIA 2013 Policy Day will also include a Women in ICT Breakfast and a CTO Roundtable Luncheon with leading technologists who are driving innovation in the industry. The CTO Roundtable will focus on emerging products and services, identify technology trends, and examine where government and industry can partner to allow these technologies to succeed.
