He sources the ingredients for each recipe from local suppliers and then portions the meals appropriately for two, four or six servings. “Easy-to-use recipes with simple photos depicting each step are included with every delivery. I am thrilled that RELISHED has given busy Chicagoans and novice cooks the confidence to get back into the kitchen,” says Chef Wally.

As a former investment banker at William Blair, Vihtelic found it difficult to make time to shop for groceries. “Part of my motivation behind RELISHED came from my own experiences as a working professional trying to cook at home,” says Vihtelic. “While I enjoy cooking, I never found time to plan meals and shop. And, if I made it to the grocery store, I always bought the same food, so I wanted to create an easy way for people to have a variety of fresh and delicious meals without the headache of planning, shopping and portioning.”

Before RELISHED, Chef Wally worked as the Executive Chef at Chicago’s Weber Grill, McCormick & Schmick’s and most recently, Park Grill. As a new father working long hours, Chef Wally understands the challenges today’s families face in planning and preparing healthy home cooked meals.

Vihtelic and Chef Wally admit to enjoying the Chicago restaurant scene on occasion but say they created RELISHED in a quest to stop overspending on take-out and to find more ways to enjoy healthy meals at home.

RELISHED delivers via FedEx with packaging designed to be unrefrigerated for up to eight hours after arriving to your home, which makes it possible for busy subscribers to be gone during delivery. Weekly three-meal subscriptions are available for $9.95 per serving and customers can easily skip deliveries to accommodate for travel or other dinner plans.
