DAVIS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Superior Farms announced today that it is launching a two-month digital advertising campaign targeting food lovers and bringing lamb top of mind for comfort foods, holiday meals and party appetizers.
“The call to action is simple,” said Angela Gentry, Marketing Director for Superior Farms. “Eat Lamb! There will of course always be a place for the elegant dining experience with a rack of lamb. But there are so many other options, and it’s time that we helped show today’s at-home foodies, just how versatile and easy lamb can be – not to mention delicious.”
The advertisements will be dispersed through a network of food and food blogger sites. “Recipe searches increase in the fall as consumers are looking for new holiday recipes and entertaining ideas,” said Gentry. “This is an optimal time to touch those at-home cooks. Our site has great, easy recipes, from braised shanks and stews to leg roasts to appetizers like meatballs and sliders. There’s really something for every dinner table. ”
The American Lamb Board reports there has been a 10 percent increase in lamb on menus at non-fine dining restaurants over the past five years, a growth that outpaced all other proteins. “We believe this trend will naturally trickle down to home cooking,” said Gentry.
Shoppers will be rewarded for clicking the ads with a $5 off coupon for Superior Farms lamb. Ads are targeted around major areas of the country where Superior Farms lamb has market penetration at retail.
Superior Farms is also providing its customers with meat case merchandising, point of sale materials, printed recipes and photography.
