SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sun Liquor has partnered with Total Wine & More to offer retail sales of Sun Liquor's much-loved Aged Eggnog to consumers for the first time ever.
"Our commitment is to provide an authentic and specialized experience in both our retail cocktail bars and throughout our many bottled spirits which are sold currently in the Western States. Our aged eggnog exemplifies this boutique experience and each year we strive to make it more widely available."
Michael Klebeck, President and Founder
Sun Liquor has been making its Aged Eggnog every holiday season since 2006. Hand-made by barman Erik Chapman from fresh eggs, cream, apple brandy, bourbon, rum and sugar. Sun Liquor's Aged Eggnog is made in small batches and aged for 30 days in glass, a process that breaks down the fats and proteins, making the nog silky smooth and delicious. Previously Sun Liquor's Aged Eggnog has only been available to customers by the glass at Sun Liquor Lounge & Sun Liquor Distillery Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. As its popularity has increased over the years it has drawn lines around the block and sold out within hours. After offering a successful albeit extremely limited edition bottling last year, Sun Liquor is excited to partner with Total Wine & More to bring its Aged Eggnog to consumers throughout the greater Seattle area this holiday season. The Aged Eggnog will be available in collectible liter milk bottles starting December 12, 2014, at four Total Wine locations: Northgate, Lynnwood, Bellevue and Tukwila. Quantities will be limited and may sell out quickly. Total Wine & More advises customers to call ahead.
To celebrate the release Sun Liquor will be hosting a festive Nog Ball at their production facility on Capitol Hill December 11, 2014. Guests will be the first to taste this year's batch of Aged Eggnog and meet the man behind the nog, Erik Chapman, who has been making and perfecting Sun Liquor's recipe from the very beginning. The Nog Ball has partnered with 2bar Spirits, Caffe Vita, Hilliards Beer, Off the Rez, Snoqualmie Ice Cream, Snowdrift Cider Co., Standard Brewing, Top Pot Doughnuts & Vinum Importing's For a Song Wine to provide guests with additional seasonal tastings and treats. All proceeds from the event will benefit Wellspring Family Services. Tickets for the Nog Ball are now available at Brown Paper Tickets (http://nogball.brownpapertickets.com).
"It's so exciting to expand our reach and get our eggnog into the hands of more of the people who love it. We love serving it every holiday season but know that not everyone can make it in on Christmas Day. Getting to celebrate the occasion with the Nog Ball and work with a charity like Wellspring Family Services is the icing on the cake."
Erik Chapman, Head Distiller, Operations Manager & Nog Maker at Sun Liquor
Sun Liquor Lounge opened in May 2006 on Summit Avenue adjacent to the original Top Pot Doughnuts location; the intimate neighborhood cocktail bar quickly gained a reputation as a great place to get a classic cocktail made with fresh-squeezed juices and house-made syrups. Sun Liquor Bar & Distillery opened in March 2011 bringing Sun Liquor's focus on quality cocktail ingredients to the next level with their own spirits made in house. One of the only distilleries in the country to offer a full cocktail bar on site, you can sip a cocktail made with their spirits while looking in on the copper pot still they were made in. Currently they offer their award-winning UNXLD Vodka, Hedge Trimmer Gin, Gun Club Gin, Silver Rum & Barrel Aged Rum as well as a expanding line of bitters.
