NEW YORK, NY, September 30, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The New Sun, whose mission is "to find the best in life and give it good coverage," is having a competition to win a pair of tickets to Rod Stewart's New York concert in Madison Square Garden on December 9, 2013.

To enter, readers just need to make a Talkette. What's a Talkette?

It's a short recording of your voice. A soundbite. Say whatever you'd like, but you have a limit of 15 seconds to talk. Instead of "micro-blogging," it's like "micro-voicing."

Contestants can promote their great work, product or entertainment, accelerate helpfulness projects, express kind words, deep thoughts, a differing point of view, good information, funny statements, jokes, or anything they wish.

In the spirit of The New Sun, entrants are encouraged to keep it positive. And with limited time to communicate, it helps to be succinct and interesting (or humorous, enlightening, etc.).

The Talkettes will be judged on originality and their ability to strengthen the human spirit in one way or another.

Deadline for entries: October 21. Winners will be announced November 1, 2013.

The lucky person who creates the best Talkette will get to experience the boundless joy of Rod's show, featuring songs from his new album Time (which has gone platinum), as well as his fabulous hits from the past. Joining him on December 9 will be Steve Winwood. The winner will also appear in the pages of The New Sun.
