The contest is simple: take a picture of yourself holding an "I'm Familiar" banner, post it on facebook, Like the band (if you haven't already), tag the band in the picture, and voila! You are now officially familiar and have now been entered into a chance to win some of our long-lusted after merchandise. Not only will you win some cool swag, but we will write a song either for you or about you. Yep. Your own song. How familiar is that? "Very," is the correct answer.

The more ludicrous (the english word not the rapper) the better! After the band reaches 1,000 likes on facebook we will collect these pictures, study and ponder them while smoking pipes and enjoying snifters of the finest brandy and select a winner. The winner will be selected based solely on what we deem as 'the most familiar.' Bribes are strictly permitted.

Like a fast thing out of some sort of container type device, Chase Perryman & The People Familiar With The Situation explode out of Murfreesboro, TN. This tight quartet blends blues, rock and short attention spans into their own unique sound. Forced into the band against his will, Chase Perryman's songwriting and singing are soulful and emotional, despite his best efforts. Bassist Nathan Donaldson lays the foundation for the band's groove and wears very stylish glasses. Drummer Cory Flippo owns his own drums and refuses to acknowledge Iowa's statehood. Lead guitarist Daniel "no-nickname" Shearon is an amateur radiologist in his spare time and feels that music theory is made up by know-it-all's. Formed in 2001, 2008 & 2010, Chase Perryman & The People Familiar With The Situation developed an organic sound that is best described in another language.
