"Every season is beautiful in Russia, in practically every part of the country. They experience each and every season to the fullest and everyone enjoys the outdoors," says Daniel Lerman, who manages the Los Angeles office of Russian Universal Services.
Not surprisingly, summer is the busiest time of year for travel in Russia. Russian Universal Services always recommends that their clients add St. Petersburg to their list of destinations when heading over in July or August. The northern city does not experience total darkness during this time of year, and it is quite amazing to see.
"Autumn is brief, but amazingly beautiful, in Russia. There are less tourists in the cities and everything turns gold and crisp. The air smells wonderful and everyone begins to prepare for winter. It is truly a time of year that I miss living in Southern California," says Lerman.
Many clients wait for the winter months to plan their trips because they are winter sports fanatics. Russia is basically covered in snow from November until February. The temperatures are freezing but to those who love to ski, snowboard or snowshoe, it is paradise. Russian Universal Services has planned many tours for clients who travel all over the vast country including parts of Siberia during this time of year. There is often still snow on the ground in March, but the days are bright and windless. Russia is truly an outdoor-lover's dream.
Russian Universal Services experiences a spike in booking travel tours again in spring. It is a short season, but many love to see everything begin to bloom after the long, cold winter. Also, for those planning extended stays, it is a great way to start the trip. The mild temperatures into the warm summer time is ideal. Russian Universal Services always takes into consideration that the clients will most likely be travelling around the country visiting relatives or sightseeing.
"Since Russia is so large, many native Russians really try to get back there to see the sights. When they lived there, they may have lived too far or travel was far too expensive at the time. When they come to me, they are usually a bit more stable financially and can now experience their beautiful country on their own terms and at any time of the year," says Daniel Lerman of Russian Universal Services.
About: Russian Universal Services enjoys booking travel for Russians who are returning to their country for business or pleasure.
