The Million Miles challenge seeks to raise awareness of early detection and more effective treatment options for melanoma, as well as ultimately finding a cure. For the entire month of May, individuals, groups and organizations joined together to log their miles as they walked, ran, hopped, skipped and swam to raise awareness and reach the goal of 1 million miles.
"JPA has been a trusted partner as we've worked to increase awareness and help patients, advocates, medical professionals, research and industry work together to eradicate melanoma," said Tim Turnham, Executive Director of the MRF. "The more we can encourage individuals and organizations like JPA to help us spread the word about prevention, warning signs and treatment options of melanoma, the quicker we will meet our goal."
Carrie Jones, JPA Principal and Managing Director, said, "Everyday we feel privileged to support the important work of the Melanoma Research Foundation. Our team loved the camaraderie of the challenge, and really came together to complete the miles and help raise awareness for this deadly disease."
