FORT CAMPBELL, Ky., Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Dr. Tasheema Fair, a physician in Blanchfield Army Community Hospital's Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in her medical career.

Upon completing a Medical Doctorate at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2005, Dr. Fair embarked on a career in obstetrics and gynecology that has spanned the past decade. She joined Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in 2009. In 2011, Dr. Fair earned the title of Major in the United States Army. She has served her country as a military professional for the past 11 years and was deployed to Iraq from August 2011 through December 2011.

In her current position at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Dr. Fair performs surgery, administers obstetrical and gynecological treatment, consults with patients on diagnosis and treatment, and works primarily with a needy inner-city population. Her emphasis is on the whole person and their overall wellness. Dr. Fair is passionate about patient education and is emphatic that patients learn how to care for themselves.
