Dr. Bermudez-Neubauer has more than 14 years’ experience in global, regional, and national carbon and renewable energy industries, markets, and policies. He consults with clients in the energy and energy-intensive industries with a strong focus on emissions management and clean energy. He has deep expertise in offshore wind and in carbon emissions management, including carbon markets and policy, carbon emissions trading and risk management, carbon performance management, and long-term strategy and risk management. He publishes and speaks frequently on these topics. Prior to joining NERA, Dr. Bermudez-Neubauer spent four years at Accenture, where he was the global lead for offshore wind and carbon emissions management within Accenture’s New Energy Solutions group, and also led the firm’s work in portfolio and risk management within Capital Project Services globally. Previously, he was a senior consultant and senior analyst in environmental and energy markets with Point Carbon (London) and IHS Global Insight (London and Paris), where he managed analysis teams and provided advice to numerous utilities, industrials, oil and gas companies, and governments.

Dr. Bermudez-Neubauer holds a PhD in Economics and a MSc in Environmental and Energy Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics in France, and a MSc and BSc in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. He is fluent in Spanish, French, and English.
