COLUMBIA, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The investment banking firm of Morgan Joseph TriArtisan LLC advised AVANTech, Inc., of Columbia, SC, on its recently reached definitive agreement with Knoxville, TN-based Diversified Technologies Services, Inc. (DTS) to integrate their capabilities. The expanded company will offer specialized radioactive, hazardous and non-hazardous liquid treatment, products and services worldwide. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Upon completion of the transaction DTS will become a division of AVANTech and will continue to expand in its Knoxville, TN manufacturing and service facility. AVANTech, will continue to focus on water management services and reducing costs and waste products. Its engineering, design and manufacturing capabilities will be fully integrated with DTS’s field services, system leasing and products to provide coordinated solutions to the nuclear and power industry. Together the two companies have provided products and services to over 150 nuclear facilities in 14 different countries.
AVANTech’s corporate headquarters will remain in Columbia, SC but in December will move to a new facility with three times its current manufacturing and office space in response to rapid growth and increased client demand. All current employees of both DTS and AVANTech will remain with the company. Jim Braun will continue to serve as AVANTech’s President and Chuck Jensen will serve as Executive Vice-President.
