MONTERREY, Mexico--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fitch Ratings has withdrawn its rating for Inversiones Alsacia, S.A.'s (Alsacia) US$464 million senior secured bonds due in 2018.

Fitch's rating withdrawal follows the company's filing for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy code on Oct. 16, 2014. The company plans to issue new notes for the equivalent to the US$347 million that are currently outstanding plus the interest amounts to be accrued since the date of the default until the restructure is completed.

Fitch had previously downgraded the rating to 'D' after the coupon payment default occurred on Aug. 18, 2014. Fitch will no longer provide ratings or analytical coverage for these notes.
