NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV) today announced that Alan D. Schnitzer will succeed Jay S. Fishman as Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2015, and has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors, effective the same date. Fishman will become Executive Chairman following Schnitzer’s assumption of the CEO role. Schnitzer, 49, is Chief Executive Officer of Travelers’ Business and International Insurance, the company’s largest business segment.
