The State Government today announced the release of more affordable residential land in the popular Waranyjarri Estate in Broome North.

Stage 9A of the LandCorp development features 11 single and four duplex residential lots, close to the future primary school and park.

Regional Development and Lands Minister Brendon Grylls said the release provided choice for people wishing to secure affordable land in the highly sought-after town.

“We are committed to providing affordable land, as well as a range of housing options in the Kimberley, and the Broome North development is a key part of this,” Mr Grylls said.

“Broome is a growing community and this land release gives residents more accommodation options.

“Four of the lowest price lots have been exclusively reserved for first home buyers, to assist them into the market.”

The Minister said Broome North was rapidly growing and offered a high level of service and amenity.

“The estate already boasts good parks and recreation facilities, with more on the way,” he said.

Construction works have started on a further 74 lots in stages 9B and 10 of the estate, which would be released dependent on demand.
