ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen warms up the month of December with its new Spicebox Chicken, inspired by the unique flavors found in spice boxes in many kitchens all over Louisiana. For generations, cooks in Louisiana have relied on their spice boxes to make creations that come to life with aroma, flavor, and color. To create its newest boneless chicken innovation, Popeyes used their own spice box to bring together 12 of the most savory Louisiana flavors and seasonings in their Cajun blackening spice blend.

Popeyes lovers are sure to enjoy these juicy, thin cut chicken strips, marinated in Louisiana seasonings and fried up fresh in a southern crispy coating and then tossed in a traditional Cajun blackening 12 spice blend. Served with Cajun fries, a Buttermilk Biscuit and Blackened Ranch Dipping Sauce, Popeyes guests can enjoy Spicebox Chicken for only $3.99 through December 24.

“Everything we do at Popeyes echoes our Louisiana roots, so we opened our own spice box and created a new dish that is a feast for all the senses,” said Hector A. Munoz, Popeyes Chief Marketing Officer-U.S. “With flavor you can smell, see and most importantly, crave, Spicebox Chicken is the latest in a long line of culinary classics that keep Popeyes guests coming back for more.”

Spicebox Chicken is served in new specialty packaging that also gives a nod to Popeyes Louisiana heritage, sliding open like a traditional spice box to reveal the aroma of these savory spices and juicy chicken strips. To satisfy flavor seekers, Popeyes has created a Cajun blackening spice blend that includes Red and Black Pepper, Paprika, Garlic, Cumin, and Celery Seed, just to name a few.
