Rackley Swimming joins impressive line-up at Ipswich’s soon-to-open Yamanto Central

With shopping centres forecast to evolve into community-based lifestyle centres across the country, Yamanto Central is ahead of the curve with a purpose built Rackley Swimming learn-to-swim facility.

“We are seeing a trend in the amalgamation of traditional retail spaces and lifestyle business models, which provide convenient access to community services all under one roof. That is why we are incredibly excited to welcome Rackley Swimming to Yamanto Central,” Vicki Leavy said.

Vicki Leavy is the general manager of JMK Retail, the developer and shopping centre owner behind Yamanto Central.

“The targeted inclusion of health services, fitness centres and swim schools, such as Rackley Swimming, will change the shape and operation of suburban retail spaces across Australia,” Leavy said.

“By increasing the service-based offers in our modern suburban based retail centres, we hope to ease the load of families in our communities by offering a one-stop-shop for all the family’s needs whether it be shopping or services.

“We are really excited about Rackley Swimming joining our centre. We want to ensure all of the Ipswich community receive the very best service in swimming lessons and we have no doubt that that is exactly what Reece Rackley’s team will provide.

“Our Ipswich community is sports-mad, and we have a long history of producing professional sports people – Ash Barty, Alan Langer and our State of Origin coach, Kevin Walters. Rackley Swimming could be where our next sports star is created – and that is very exciting.”

Rackley Swimming is set to open along with the rest of the centre in the first half of 2021.

“Yamanto Central is an exciting part of the South East with tremendous opportunity for growth for both families and the retail market. We wanted to be part of the mix in this new suburban shopping hub to engage with the Ipswich community,” Reece Rackley of Rackley Swimming said today.

According to Rackley, this new venture is wholeheartedly in line with the business’s dedication to providing family-friendly, enriching service, within one convenient location.

“The Yamanto Central swim school is currently under construction. We will be offering the largest possible undercover L-shaped pool, adjacent to other complementary, consumer-centric retail opportunities. The facilities will also feature ample customer parking, easy facility access, generous viewing areas, and accommodating changing spaces for all members of the family,” Rackley said.

“It is hard to believe that this will be our 23rd swim site located across South East Queensland. From Kawana on the Sunshine Coast to Spring Hill in Brisbane, and now Yamanto in Ipswich – Rackley Swimming has truly transformed over the years.

“We are truly blown away by the growth of Rackley Swimming from our one humble swim school on the Gold Coast to now 23 sites only 21 years later.”

According to Rackley, the company has witnessed astonishing growth over the years because of their quality facilities, professional instructors, nurturing and positive environment, and flexibility to adapt to the changing demands of their customers.

“We listen to our customers and then we deliver. The new direction for neighbourhood retailing, especially in new and developing areas, is offering our services in non-traditional retail settings, which is why this is our fourth shopping centre swim school site,” Rackley added.

“Rackley Swimming is one of the oldest and most enduring swim schools in Queensland. Ensuring kids learn to swim and understand how to be safer swimmers has always been our core focus.

“Swimming lessons aren’t just a fun after-school activity, they’re vital life-long skills that can save lives.

“At Rackley Swimming, families are at the centre of our business – we offer Baby Splash Classes for babies as young as two-months-old, discounts for families where three or more children swim, and free Swim Safety Assessments. We’re all about accommodating our families and their needs.

“We could not pick a better location and neighbourhood to expand our family swim school. We cannot wait to meet the Yamanto community in early 2021!”
