Revealed: Top 5 Most Reliable Car Brands

Are you thinking about buying a new car? If so, then reliability should be one of your top priorities. But, how do you tell which cars are more reliable than others? Well, we’ve done our research and put together this list of the top five most reliable car brands:

Toyota

Generally speaking, Japanese cars are incredibly reliable, and Toyota cars are no exception. They’re built to last, and they’re built with a lot of safety in mind too. It’s no coincidence that Toyota cars are often named ‘best car’ in almost every country throughout the world. They’re extremely cheap to run, and represent great value for money too. Toyota cars almost never break down unless there is an issue not relating to the original manufacturing. They can run for years and years, and run efficiently too.

Kia

Contrary to what some might believe, Kia isn’t a Japanese brand. Kia Motors is actually based in South Korea, a close neighbour to Japan. We’re unsure whether the two countries are sharing motoring tips or whether it’s just a coincidence that both produce exceptionally reliable cars. Kia’s are becoming more and more popular, with many people realising how safe and affordable they are. There’s nothing flashy or over the top about a Kia car, but there’s always a massive sense of reliability there. They mainly make small cars that are great for city driving, and picked up two awards in Australia last year!

Volvo

Volvo is a Swedish car manufacturer that’s long been synonymous with reliability and safety. The cars they make are known to be very robust, and they rarely break down unprovoked. If you have a look at things like Cars & Co new Volvo deals, you’ll see the majority of popular Volvo’s are sedans and saloons. They’re a brand that really focuses on medium to large sized cars, mainly directed towards families. As a result, safety and reliability are always their top priority. When you’re building cars for families, this comes before any other features.

Audi

It seems like you can’t complete a list of car brands without including at least one German manufacturer. Where reliability is concerned, Audi is the best Germany has to offer. They may be on the pricey side, but Audi vehicles are very, very, reliable. Their newest ones are packed full of technology that ensures breakdowns are rare, and safety is assured. If you’re a big fan of German engineering, then Audi is a great brand to consider.

Lexus

Finally, we have Lexus. Interestingly, Lexus is actually a division of Toyota that focuses on more luxury vehicles. They’re higher priced, but they don’t compromise on reliability. In fact, you may be surprised to hear that Lexus outperform Toyota in reliability and safety tests. With Lexus, you get a car that you can trust will last a long time and provide you with excellent value.

You can’t go wrong with any of these five brands. Of course, each one makes slightly different cars from the rest so one brand may be better suited to you than others.
