EPISODE SET TO AIR ON JANUARY 18, 2015
LOS ANGELES (December 15, 2014) – Up-and-coming actor DEAN LI is all set to make his television debut on Showtime’s Emmy-nominated black comedy-drama series, SHAMELESS, scheduled to premiere on January 18th.
During the all-new Season 5, SHAMELESS continues to follow the messy lives of the Gallagher family; headed by an alcoholic father of six (William H. Macy) but reared by the eldest daughter (Emmy Rossum).
For the episode “I’m the Liver,” Li joins the chaos as the provocative ‘Twink’, sure to raise a few fan eyebrows. "I can't say I relate to my character, but he's part of a story that's important to tell and one that definitely lives up to the title of the show, I think. I’m excited to be making my television acting debut on ‘Shameless’. It was an awesome experience, especially getting to work with Cameron (Monaghan), Noel (Fisher) and Emma (Greenwell)," Li explains.
Up next, Li will be seen in homes everywhere in a top-secret national advertising campaign for one of the biggest brands in the world.
A Massachusetts native, Li recently attended the prestigious Columbia University in New York City. During this time, he was represented by the teen division of the legendary Wilhelmina Models, pursuing modeling and commercial work. His talents promptly landed campaigns for several major companies, including Verizon and Macy's. Looking to step his acting career up to the next level, Li made the cross country move to Los Angeles. Once there, he quickly began training with some of the best acting coaches in the business, including Lesly Kahn, Holly Powell and Greg Orson.
