Excerpts from the popular ballet, La Bayadere from Nureyev’s version (international ballet star and ex-director of the Paris Opera Ballet), will emphasise the unequalled elegance and purity of the French style. The costumes directly borrowed from Paris Opera Ballet and some décor elements will magnify the performances and should carry the audience to an unprecedented level of excellence. The contrast will be intense between the pure romantic style of La Sylphide choreographed by Bournonville in 1836 and the modernity of the contemporary pieces. The excerpts from Caligula and Notre-Dame-de-Paris that have been exclusively created for Paris Opera Ballet will be the perfect demonstration of the union between the French heritage and the French modernity. Ludmila Pagliero and Karl Paquette will interpret a Pas de Deux from Notre-Dame-de-Paris signed in 1965 by the exceptional and prolific choreographer, Roland Petit.
Date & time: January 8 at 8.00 pm, January 9 at 2.30pm and 8.00 pm and January 10 at 5.30pm
