NEXTDOOR Bar & Lounge Announces New Bar Bites Menu, Pizza Kitchen and Garden Deck

HOUSTON, TEXAS — July 30, 2015 — NEXTDOOR Bar & Lounge, West Houston’s innovative twist on the neighborhood bar and lounge, has launched a new bar bites menu featuring flavorful selections ranging $4-13, made in a pristine new 800-square-foot pizza kitchen complete with a wood-burning oven. An expansive viewing window also allows patrons to see their food being prepared.

Available daily after 3pm, the new bar bites menu showcases five wood-stone pizzas including:   

• Margherita made with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, arugula and basil pesto

• Mushroom with button and portobello mushrooms, crushed red pepper, arugula and basil pesto, topped with a fried egg

• Rustica with jalapeño sausage, red bell pepper, mushrooms, mozzarella and marinara

• Harvest with roasted eggplant, red bell pepper, broccoli, feta and basil pesto

• Hawaiian with grilled chicken, Applewood-smoked bacon, pineapple, red onion and mozzarella

Shareable dips on the new bar bites menu include:

• Hummus Sampler

• Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Homemade Tortilla Chips

• Housemade Potato Chips with Jalapeño Feta Dip 

• Baked Goat Cheese served with a grilled baguette

Savory appetizers include:

• Housemade Angus Mini Meatballs

• Mini Blue Crab Balls

• Sriracha Cast Iron Wings

• Honey & Red Chili Glazed Beef Tenderloin or Chicken Skewers

• The Soho Trio—grilled shrimp, jalapeño sausage and chicken with chipotle and jalapeño feta dressing

• Sizzling Beef Nachos

• Ginger-Glazed Beef Tenderloin or Shrimp Tacos 

• Vegetable lovers will enjoy Fire-Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Sweet Chili Sauce and Charred Cauliflower in a roasted red pepper purée

In addition to the new bar bites menu and pizza kitchen, NEXTDOOR has added a new garden deck, built around the property’s original trees, in a natural and relaxing setting. The new deck accommodates up to 60 people and features comfortable lounge seating, bar tables and plenty of oscillating fans to keep patrons cool. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a great after-work happy hour, fun date night or a relaxing get-together with friends.
