Having doubled its staff levels last year and increased turnover fourfold in the same period, Azzure IT is now expanding so fast it has outgrown its current offices. With the backing of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Azzure IT has moved to a new building development in Sheffield Business Park, just in time for its new staff.
"We have experienced unprecedented growth over the last year," explains Craig Such, Azzure IT's Managing Director, who founded the company on the simple ethos to deliver quality IT solutions to help businesses be better at what they do. "We've continued to acquire a lot of new customers over the last few months and we're preparing for our next phase of growth - taking on the extra resource ahead of expected demand."
Nearly half of Azzure's brand new 4,000 square foot office building has been funded by RBS as part of the Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS), a Government initiative designed to boost lending to the UK economy. The partnership with Azzure was formed on the strength of the company's current achievements and forward-thinking approach. "We presented RBS with our recent successes - being the fastest ever Microsoft Partner to achieve the prestigious status of Microsoft Dynamics Gold ERP Partner, our solid track-record and strong business plan, and they provided the funding we needed to purchase the building. Thanks to the FLS, setup charges were waived and we received a 1% reduction on the lending rates. We couldn't have done it without them," says Such.
Despite being able to relocate the business anywhere, Azzure chose Sheffield, for its fast transport links and proximity to the adjacent Advanced Manufacturing Park, a dynamic community of high-tech companies. "Supporting the local economy is important to me," explains Such. "All of our new starters live locally, and we're very proud to work for a lot of local businesses in manufacturing, construction and distribution, as well as further afield."
Kitted out with modern IT infrastructure and furnishings, Azzure IT moved in to the new building on the 26th July, joined by the new starters. Marisol Sanz-Blesa starts as a Technical Consultant, bringing a wealth of experience implementing ERP systems internationally. Ed Greenhough, a recent First Class (Honours) Business Studies graduate from the University of Sheffield, joins as a Junior Consultant. And Dee Cook, an Application Consultant, comes from a background in ERP Consultancy having worked with several other ERP solutions previously.
And Azzure doesn't plan to stop growing now. "Our growth ambitions over the next year are to double turnover again and continue adding new customers - plus, we will be working with Microsoft on some very exciting and unique initiatives whilst continuing to add good quality staff to the team," concludes Such.
