Balkstar is a producer influenced by Dance Music, Bass Music, Dub Music & Electro Beats. He was raised in Aotearoa in New Zealand, educated at Dubspot in New York City, and currently lives in Amsterdam.

Balkstar's debut album Passive Aggressive was signed to US label Tomasian Entertainment LLC and released in September 2012 through the label's T Dance Digital label imprint. His sophomore effort "Bounce It Out" will be released by T Dance Digital this Fall and both titles will be released on Physical CD format this Fall as well.
