In partnership with NJ Transit, The Council's popular annual event kicks-off at New York Penn Station at 9:30am when the New York group meets to board the reserved railroad car. New Jersey attendees enter the networking car along the NJ Transit railroad stops to New Brunswick. The "Train Ride to Success" event concludes at 3:00pm in New Brunswick after a luncheon.
The lively train journeys along the Northeast Corridor from New York City to New Brunswick. Attendees move throughout the train car meeting and greeting, exchanging business cards, and exploring ideas. The networking extravaganza's highlight is a luncheon at New Brunswick's elegant Delta Restaurant, a posh African American council-certified business.

This year, The Council welcomes our corporate member Randstad, the second-largest staffing organization in the world, as the chair for 'Train Ride to Success,'" said Lynda Ireland, president & CEO, The Council. "Networking on the railroad is a unique experience. The informal atmosphere on the train ride allows for more extensive 'face-time' than at a usual corporate function. Many new business relationships have evolved from this event that has lead to contracts. Already we have 24 Fortune 500 companies, who are corporate members, onboard for 'Train Ride to Success.'"
Tickets for "Train Ride to Success" range from $100 - $150. Gold sponsors are: BNY Mellon, Con Edison and.
