Higgins is the system vice president of strategic planning and network development of UNC Health Care, where she manages strategic planning, market research and regulatory affairs and coordinates business and network development activities for the system. Prior to this role, she worked in Chicago, Ill., with The Boston Consulting Group, a global strategy consulting firm. Higgins received an MBA from The University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.

ABOUT THE FIRST TEE OF THE TRIANGLE: Established in 2004, The First Tee of the Triangle is a nonprofit organization dedicated to impacting the lives of young people in the area by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
