CHARLOTTE, NC, September 29, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The recently founded Chi Alumnus Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, is proud to announce its launch as the society's first alumnus chapter since 1956. Known also as "Los Paladines" or "The Paladins," the chapter is sanctioned by the National Executive Committee of Sigma Delta Pi and is affiliated with the award-winning Chi Chapter at the University of South Carolina. Taylor Jones, Founding President of the alumnus chapter, noted that members are "very devoted to the society's mission of promoting the study of Spanish language and culture."

Membership in the Chi Alumnus Chapter is free and open exclusively to alumnus members of Sigma Delta Pi. Benefits include networking, job and volunteer opportunities, and social gatherings. All former Chi Chapter members as well as Sigma Delta Pi graduates from other universities are invited to apply.
