MILWAUKEE, WI, October 07, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The National Horse Protection Program Manager for the U.S. Department of Agriculture will explain the crisis communication strategies her team uses to protect horses from inhumane treatment at the Beyond Conflict 2013 conference on Friday, Nov. 8 in Brookfield, Wis.

Dr. Rachel Cezar, DVM, supervises the 30 veterinarians and animal care inspectors responsible for enforcing the Horse Protection Act designed to eliminate "soring," an illegal training practice designed to make a horse perform an exaggerated unnatural gait; one technique involves applying caustic painful chemicals to the horses' legs.

The issues that Dr. Cezar encounters, however specialized, reinforce the fact that all professionals need strong verbal skills regardless of the work that they do.

Beyond Conflict 2013 (www.BeyondConflict2013.com) will be held Nov. 7-10, 2013, at the Brookfield Sheraton Hotel in Brookfield, Wis. The conference explores the many applications of the Verbal Defense & Influence conflict management strategies taught by the Vistelar Group. The conference is open to the public.

Dr. Cezar has worked all over the world, caring for animals such as the most cherished horses in Dubai and Lexington, KY; and the Wild Horse and Burro Program. She recently served as a Public Health Officer in the Air National Guard at Andrews AFB in Washington, DC.

Dr. Cezar was introduced to the Vistelar Group in early 2013; she immediately made sure her team received Verbal Defense & Influence training in time for this year's horse competition season.

Beyond Conflict 2013 (www.BeyondConflict2013.com) is presented by the Vistelar Group, a global speaking and training organization focused on addressing the spectrum of human conflict. Its purpose is to stop the ineffectiveness, struggle and often more serious consequences that result from failures in communication. Learn more about Vistelar Group at http://www.Vistelar.com.
