FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, October 12, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fifteen years ago cargo pants were in, Britney Spears' Baby One More Time topped the pop charts, and Monica Lewinsky was a White House Intern.

While you can't travel back in time (and may not want to), you can roll back prices. That's exactly how Sunrise Pita & Grill (www.sunrisepita.com) will celebrate 15 years in business at a quiet Sunrise strip mall at 2680 North University Drive in Sunrise.

The Middle Eastern, Glatt Kosher restaurant will turn back the clock on the prices of its popular overstuffed pita sandwiches like the Falafel, Shawarma and Grilled Chicken, and on its top-selling appetizers. The festivities run from 4 - 7 p.m. Oct. 13 - 18.

"Over the years, we've become a staple in the lives of our customers and in the community," says Shiri Franco, who owns Sunrise Pita & Grill with her husband Yossef Smadja. "We're not fancy. In fact, we're very homey. When people come in, they're coming to a very familiar place where the food is always delicious and the employees - well yes - know their names."

While dozens of pita and falafel restaurants have opened and closed since 1998, Sunrise Pita & Grill has managed to stay true to its Israeli roots and focused on making delicious, authentic Middle Eastern food while delivering great customer care in the process. In fact, Sunrise Pita & Grill's clientele eagerly share their amazing find in west Broward.

Customers rave about the bold-tasting salads, substantial pita sandwiches, fluffy falafels (crispy chick pea fritters) and creamy hummus (of course it's made with Tahini). The all-Kosher, vegan-friendly menu, elicits five-star ratings on Urban Spoon, Eater and Yelp.

The small restaurant known for its lack of fuss - no waiters, no table clothes, no attitude - and amazing turkey and lamb shawarma platters has even been featured on WPBT's Check Please! South Florida.

"We may never get a Michelin star, but we've got something way better, our customers' loyalty," Franco says.
