OSLO, Norway, March 9, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Education is one of the most important things in life and many parents have gone that extra mile in making sure that their kids get the best education at all costs. The majority of kids still go to public schools for their education and even though some time back private school were not considered in equal importance as public schools, today more and more parents are taking their children to private school. The truth however is, private schools have improved dramatically over the last few years.

The quality of education offered is at par with public schools if not better. For many parents thinking of taking their children to private schools, educational analysts note that it is important to first understand the primary benefits and demerits of these schools. The mistake many parents make is to decide what school is good for their children. Child development experts note that children can only learn and grow in an environment that feels comfortable. In light of this it is prudent for parents to critically analyze every school on the perspective of their children before they enroll them in.

One of the biggest benefits of private schools is that they have a modern and well focused education that is very flexible for the contemporary child. Educational experts note that the teaching style in private school is innovative and open-minded and in fact, children in private schools learn more compared to those in public institutions.  However the flip side to this is the high school fees. Educational experts have been keen to point that it would be very difficult for all parents to afford the high fees in private schools. Although the quality of education is high, the high cost is regarded as one of the most challenging aspect in private school education.

Despite the high school fees, private schools have also invested heavily on modern school infrastructure including essential tools needed for learning such as books, lab equipment and others. A lot of public education experts acknowledge that from an infrastructure basis, public schools cannot compete with private institutions. In addition to this, private schools have also created a contemporary learning environment which is more exciting and entertaining to children. Although it is not clear how such an environment impacts the quality of education, the fact is it goes a long way in making private schools a better pick for children.

Educational experts however say that even with such spending private school still lack the reputation that probably they deserve. Some of the most popular schools in the country are all public and for many parents, it isn't always a good idea to take children to schools that have nothing to show in terms of reputation. A lot of people think of private school from a narrow perspective of high fees and affluence which to be fair is not right. The main goal for any parent is to ensure that their kids get the best education and whether it is in private or public schools, the decision should always be made based on the family's circumstances especially financial.
