Sustainable Energy Finance - Request for Applications – October 15, 2013 – January 15, 2014

LANCASTER, Penn., Oct. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Jennifer Hopkins, President, Sustainable Energy Fund (SEF), announced today at the Annual Customer Appreciation Meeting of Richard's Energy Group, the introduction of SEF's new Sustainable Energy Finance program. The new Sustainable Energy Finance program is available to not-for-profit and governmental entities to complete energy efficiency or renewable energy projects.  These are projects that reduce energy consumption from non-sustainable resources or generate energy from sustainable resources.

Sustainable Energy Fund will issue a Request for Applications for the new program on October 15, 2013. Loans or leases will be made for projects between $5,000 and $90,000 on a first-come, first-serve basis until program funds are exhausted. The deadline for Sustainable Energy Finance application submissions is 4:00 p.m. (EST) on January 15, 2014.

"The Sustainable Energy Fund's mission is assisting energy users in overcoming financial hurdles in implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects," stated Hopkins. "The Sustainable Energy Finance program assists not-for-profits which are often challenged when it comes to raising funds to reduce energy use," she added.
