Bringing small business assistance to the Tweed next month

Climb aboard the Small Biz Bus at Tweed Heads or Murwillumbah - it's free

The NSW Government's Small Biz Bus is heading to the Tweed for two days next month, ready to open its doors to give local small business owners free one-on-one advice and information.

The Small Biz Bus is a mobile advisory and information service for small business which travels across NSW, delivering face-to-face, personalised assistance. The program is organised by the Small Business Commissioner.

Mayor of Tweed, Councillor Barry Longland, said the Small Biz Bus was a great way for small businesses in the Tweed to find advice under one roof.

"Tweed Shire Council is delighted to be able to assist the Small Business Commissioner in bringing this important service to the Tweed," Councillor Longland said.

"Council is keen to assist small business wherever we can, and when we heard about the Small Biz Bus, we were keen to hop on board.

"Services on the bus are available at no cost to small business operators. The small business experts on the bus will facilitate 45-minute business advisory sessions on-board its two meeting areas at Tweed Heads and Murwillumbah," he said.

Small Biz Connect offers small business a comprehensive tool kit to assist with starting and running a business, growing your business, management, business planning, marketing and sales.

The bus travels across NSW, connecting small business owners with mentors, experts and services in their local community, at no cost to them. At each stop, business experts help local operators to gain a new perspective on their business, as well as giving them additional tools and insights on their path to success.

The initiative is part of the Small Biz Connect business advisory program, which is delivered by NORTEC in the Northern Rivers, on behalf of the Office of the Small Business Commissioner. The Small Biz Bus links small business operators to their local Small Biz Connect business advisory service who provide assistance throughout the year.

Where to hop on the bus:

Thursday 10 October - Tweed Heads Civic Centre carpark, corner Brett and Wharf Streets, Tweed Heads, from 9am to 3pm.

Friday 11 October - Murwillumbah - Main St (outside Courthouse), Murwillumbah, from 9am to 3pm.
