Converting your office spaces into practical storage solutions

Renting an office and office space is expensive and pricey and this cuts into business profit margins. It is not a place where you want to spend too much money, yet at the same time, you can’t go without it and don’t want to have second-rate premises that you are not comfortable operating from. You want to be able to prepare your area that you have in such a way you have the most use out of the space that you have without having to rent or buy a bigger unit. Here are different ideas and ways that you can expand the storage capacity of your office.

Cupboards

This is often the starting point and will be used in almost every room in the office whether it be the manager's office, the open plan hot desks, the kitchen or the bathroom. Find cupboards for sale that you can use to compare prices with and ask them to give you tips on what cupboards are best suited for each of the spaces.

Pallett racking

Making use of vertical spaces offers great solutions for the shortage of floor space. Installing a pallet racking set up can offer a tidy form of storage that is easy to access and doesn’t mean that loads get piled on top of each other but rather on shelves that are easily reached. It might mean that you need to have a forklift if it requires heavy industrial items that are moved around regularly

Art storage

If your business involves large amounts of art or artwork designs that you want to be able to store without being damaged or crumples, consider art storage designs. Even if it is graphic design pieces that have been printed which you want to keep as a portfolio, it is a wonderful fresh solution.

Shelving

This can be a simple space solution. It works well in warehouses and big open spaces. If you’re wanting to install something in your offices, it might be neater and tidier to use cupboards rather than open shelves. Being able to close the cupboards and hide away your contents leads to a much neater more organised feel. But shelving allows you the space to organise stuff and put them in an order that it is easy to find and source.

Lockers

To keep personal items at work or at schools, lockers can be installed which can use padlocks and combination locks. Your staff or students can then either hire the space for a period of time or keep the locker for a year and this will be a personal space that is not available to the general public. Having one’s own locker and lock helps keep safety and prevent any risk of theft and helps provide a safe place for people to put their things where it is out the way.

Think about your growing business, you will soon find yourself needing to find more space for your staff and the associated logistical and administrative functions to take place.
