CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCOR Global Life Americas (SGLA) is pleased to announce that Scott Boug, FSA, FCIA, MAAA, CFA, has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Financial Solutions, and Deputy Head of SCOR Global Life Financial Solutions. In these roles, Scott will lead the group responsible for structuring financial and capital relief reinsurance.

Scott has 25 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. He comes to SCOR from Genworth Financial, where he headed the company’s reinsurance and runoff strategies for Life insurance-related businesses. He earlier served as Senior Vice President of Financial Solutions for Munich American Reassurance Company (MARC), developing capital market solutions for MARC’s client companies. He was also Chief Pricing Officer and Managing Director of Capital and Liquidity Management for Transamerica Reinsurance from 2006 to 2008.

Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in statistics from the University of Western Ontario. He is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
