FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SRA International, Inc., a leading provider of IT solutions and professional services to government organizations, today announced it has been named as a healthiest employer for the third straight year (2011-2013) by the Washington Business Journal.

“SRA is committed to helping our employees stay fit and healthy”

“SRA is committed to helping our employees stay fit and healthy,” said SRA human resources senior vice president John Reing. “We’re honored to receive this accolade which is a testament to the range of our wellness programs that help get our employees engaged in their well-being.”

The Greater Washington Healthiest Employers awards recognize businesses that enhance employee health and improve company climate through workplace wellness program best practices. The awards are sponsored by the Washington Business Journal in collaboration with UnitedHealthcare and USI Insurance Services.

“SRA is thrilled to be recognized as one of the Healthiest Employers in the Greater Washington region by the Washington Business Journal and its partners,” said SRA President and CEO Bill Ballhaus. “Our commitment to helping our employees be healthy and active is consistent with our long-standing commitment to improving human health through our support of the critical missions of our federal customers in the health field.”

The Washington Business Journal partnered with Healthiest Employer LLC, an Indianapolis, Ind.-based data research company, to measure the region’s top 50 healthiest employers through a proprietary scoring methodology on six key indicators of worksite wellness: culture and leadership commitment; foundational components; strategic planning; communications and marketing; programming and interventions; and reporting and analysis.

Together with the other 49 winners, SRA was recognized at an event on Thursday, Sept. 19 where SRA ranked fourth among ten companies in the category of more than 5,000 employees.
