LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Board of 8over8 Limited is pleased to announce that Ian Taylor, former UK Science & Technology Minister and current Executive Chairman of Living PlanIT SA (an 8over8 strategic partner) has agreed to become an Advisor to 8over8. This confirms 8over8's determination to grow its business by increasing its influence amongst decision makers in target markets and to broaden the experience available to its management team. 8over8’s flagship software platform (ProCon) assures and protects the deployment of capital by organizations that design, build, and operate high-value assets.

Ian Taylor will work with the executive team to widen awareness of the services provided by 8over8, its brand impact and connections. He will join two existing industry subject matter advisors to 8over8, Geoff Lill and Martin Spring.

Ian Taylor is a former MP and Science Minister who now serves on the board of several companies, mainly involved in software and technology applications. He is Chairman of the National Space Academy steering group and on the UK Science & Technology Facilities Council.

Ian is the Executive Chairman of LivingPlanIT which is developing an open standards software operating system for urban areas, connecting devices, sensors and infrastructure. Living PlanIT is working with 8over8 in several large scale projects. The company recently received the Frost & Sullivan 2013 European Smart City Growth Excellence Leadership Award .

Ian also chairs the European Advisory Board of Brooks International, a US professional services firm.
