LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Capstone Law APC, a Los Angeles-based class action firm, has brought on Stan Karas as a Senior Counsel. Karas began his career at Paul Hastings Janofsky and Walker, LLP before spending the past eight years with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP. Raul Perez, a partner at Capstone Law, welcomed the addition to the firm, "Stan's breadth of experience in handling complex litigation and commitment to results oriented litigation is a great fit for Capstone."

Karas, a seasoned litigator, explained why he made the move. "After more than a decade of handling complex commercial litigation at major law firms, I am looking forward to putting my skills and experience to good use at Capstone. I'm excited about beginning this chapter of my career." His successes include obtaining a $3 million jury verdict for a client along with a finding that the defendant was liable for punitive damages. In another trial, the court granted non-suit in favor of Karas' client after he delivered the opening argument.

Rebecca Labat, another partner at Capstone Law, said Karas would focus on the most complex matters that the firm tackles. She remarked, "Stan's a real problem solver and overall a brilliant attorney. I anticipate the firm using him on some of our most challenging litigation."

Karas received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, where he served as articles editor for the California Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, with Interdepartmental Honors and Distinction in History and Literature.
