CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Fifth Third Bancorp board of directors today announced that Greg D. Carmichael, current president and chief operating officer, will become president and chief executive officer effective November 1, 2015. Carmichael was also elected to the board, effective immediately. Carmichael will succeed Kevin T. Kabat, who has informed the board of his intention to retire.
