The Club is asking community members, businesses owners, corporations, Club alumni and parents of members to donate items to be auctioned off. Items of particular interest are trips, tours, wine, furniture, restaurant dinner or lunches, airline frequent flyer miles, gift baskets, hotels, jewelry, art, automobiles, weekend getaways, timeshares, landscaping materials, home improvement items, and gift certificates.
Those who feel they have no items of interest to giveaway but would like to contribute can also make a tax-deductible donation of cash to sponsor a young person or an entire program. Event sponsorship opportunities are also available. All donors receive a tax deduction for the market value of the item they donate, and will be recognized by name (unless they choose anonymity) in the auction program.
"The Black Tie Gala this year celebrates 59 years of service to youth," said Michele Pettes, Chair of this year's Kids Auction. "We hope that businesses, corporations, Club alumni, parents of members, and people all over the county that are concerned for the well being of children will consider making a contribution to this worthwhile and important fundraising event."
