The show will star comedian Gary Shelton, who has made audiences laugh for more than 30 years. Shelton has performed for many corporate and charitable organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Classic and Dollywood Country Jamboree.
Local youths will sell tickets to the show, allowing them to take part in the fundraiser, and every child at the show will receive a free balloon animal.
The fundraiser is part of Evolve Movement's year-long campaign to raise money and awareness for people in need, both locally and abroad. The studio, which focuses on Pilates, yoga and Gyrotonic disciplines, has partnered with Free The Children, an international charity that educates, engages and empowers youth to be agents of change around the world.
Through upcoming events hosted by Evolve Movement, families will have ample opportunities for activism, on both a local and global scale. A community yard sale was held at the end of September, and other events will include a food drive called "We Scare Hunger" in October, a giving tree in November and December, a coat drive in January, and more. Each project is designed for children's active participation.
The events culminate in July 2014, when the focus shifts to international aid. A group of families will travel to Ecuador to build a school for an impoverished village in the Chimborazo province.
