China Lesso Group Launches its first Lesso Home Offering in Australia

Sydney : Lesso Home, a subsidary of China Lesso Group [HKG: 2128], one of China’s leading manufacturers of building materials and homewares, opened its first Australian large-scale exhibition space in Greenacre, Western Sydney, today with a high profile event including Mr Jonathan O'Dea MP, representative of NSW Premier and Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier and Treasurer; a host of Australian MPs and Government Ministers; Chinese Consuls and a number of visiting Chinese representatives.


Reaffirming the friendship and trade relationship between Australia and China, the new B2B-focused Lesso Home location marked the first step into the Australian market for the Chinese manufacturing giant. More locations are planned for Australia over the coming five years. Lesso Home brings more choice for Australian businesses, and access to the very best of China’s building, furnishing and décor products.


The 2015 China Australia Free Trade Agreement and recent discussion of Hong Kong Australia Free Trade Agreement in May 2017 created the opportunity for China Lesso Group to come to Australia. It is an important step forward in Australian/Chinese trade relations.


At 30,000 sqm, the location has 60+ tenants that offer home builders and home designers with a plethora of products at a lower cost and at a single destination. Australian businesses now have direct access to a wide range of Chinese manufacturers via the Lesso Home platform. Australian consumers will have their opportunity to purchase the wide range of quality Chinese as new locations open up over the coming years.


Presenting at the launch, Dr. Victor Lin, Executive Director of the Board and VP of China Lesso Group, and President of Lesso America, talked about the opportunity for Australian businesses and Lesso’s plans to bring the best of Chinese manufacturing to the world: “Lesso Home is inspired by the array of premium Chinese design and manufacturing products. We believe China has much to offer Australian businesses, assisting them to compete and deliver the best performace for their customers.


“Sydney is just the first step and China Lesso Group is looking to open more locations across Australia over the next five years. It’s an exciting time at our organisation,” Dr. Victor Lin said.

Mr Mark Coure MP, NSW Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Infrastructure, added: “Chinese business investment in Australia exceeds 20 billion dollars and is growing rapidly. Investment like what we see here this morning will see economic benefits; The cultural ties between Australia and China are very strong and will continue to remain strong.”


The launch event consisted of traditional Chinese celebrations and a full Chinese banquet for over 500 guests.
