6 cities, Australia’s best tech startups, an opportunity

to secure up to $5 million in funding

The Big Pitch is back for 2015, offering Australian tech startups with big ideas, big vision and their sights set on the big stage the opportunity to secure up to $5 million in funding.

This year the investment team behind The Big Pitch - Oxygen Ventures - will be hitting the road, visiting six capital cities in a bid to find their next tech startup to invest in and join their portfolio from across Australia.

The process is simple, but the stakes are high.

After applying online, Oxygen Ventures will hold private face-to-face sessions with 20 shortlisted startups in Hobart, Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Following the face-to-face sessions, five finalists from around the country will be invited to pitch live to a panel of judges in Melbourne, for the opportunity to secure up to $5 million in funding.

Investment Director of Oxygen Ventures, Ilya Frolov, says the goal of The Big Pitch is to encourage tech entrepreneurs from around the country to apply.

“Last year we received positive feedback from the industry. We ended up investing $3.3 million in two of the five finalist companies and this year we’re confident in continuing the very high standard of entry.”
