What do the highest ranking schools do that your school doesn’t?  A key element of a broader and more engaged educational experience is getting kids out of the comfort zone and immersing them in curriculum through cultural exploration.  Engaged kids learn better.  And there’s no learning quite like life experience.

This is where educational tours come into the equation because trips such as these are not only fun but they are incredibly educational as well. Children are now being introduced to many new countries like New Zealand and Nepal, which allows them to experience other cultures outside of their own country. Every Australian student needs to learn about the many life skills that are required to get on in this world and a lot of them will not be learned in a school environment. The following are just some of the many benefits of overseas educational tours.

  • Gets them out of their comfort zone - If an educational tour is set up so that students can enjoy French tours, then these kids get introduced to a culture that they are certainly not familiar with. The vast majority of the population in France speaks the national language and so getting exposed to another language other than English can sometimes be a daunting proposition. They may grow to love how the language sounds and on returning to their educational institution, it’s highly likely that they may want to add French to their subject list.

  • Learn new languages - Many students may be under the misapprehension that English is spoken in the vast majority of the countries around the world and this is not true. It is currently the language of business but there are many countries around the globe where English is not their first language. Being introduced to these new languages may encourage students to want to explore foreign languages.

There are so many different cultures out there in the world that need to be explored and so by taking students on educational tours, they get to experience real-life situations with other people, with other cultures and in many other historical sites. Even when they are enjoying breakfast, lunch or tea, they will get to enjoy other cultures through the food that they eat and the beverages that they drink.
