DAVIS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The UC Davis Graduate School of Management’s full-time MBA program is ranked among the premier business schools in the nation for the 19th consecutive year, according to U.S. News & World Report’s latest graduate business school rankings released today.
U.S. News’ latest ranking places the full-time MBA program at No. 41, placing it among the top 9% of the 453 Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International’s accredited full-time MBA programs surveyed.
The UC Davis Graduate School of Management’s part-time MBA program offered in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area is ranked No. 25. This is the third consecutive year the UC Davis part-time MBA program is among the top 8% of AACSB International-accredited part-time MBA programs surveyed. This year, there were 310 part-time programs surveyed.

The full-time MBA ranking is based on several key metrics: student selectivity (average undergraduate grade point average, average GMAT score and percentage of applicants accepted by the school), quality assessment surveys from recruiters and peers (business school deans and MBA program directors), and job placement success for graduates based on average starting salary and bonus and employment rates at graduation and three months later.
The School’s recruiter assessment score jumped 15%. The average GMAT score was 685, up from 680 last year. The employment rate for students three months after graduation was 94.9%, compared to 92.7% last year.
The part-time MBA ranking is based on five factors: peer assessment by business school deans and MBA directors; average GMAT score; average undergraduate GPA; work experience; and the percentage of the business school’s fall 2013 MBA enrollment that is part time.
The School’s part-time average GMAT score is 596, up from 576 last year. The part-time MBA program also was more selective, with its acceptance rate at 72.5% compared to 79.3% last year.
